Dedicated to growing Service Design in Chicago
We are a 501(c)3 charity. We believe that Service Design should be accessible. Service Design is a unique design discipline especially equipped to handle the vast complexities of a modern service experience. In a complex and rapidly changing landscape Service Design offers the power to design for the culture of an organization to the front line staff delivering the dynamic value exchange.
Three times each year we hold service jams to benefit local non-profit organizations to help a good cause but also give our community a chance to put what they have learned into action. We think of our jams as guided educational tours through a Service Design project that serves a social good.
At our core, we are an organization founded on the accessible nature of a meetup. Since December of 2013, we have been working to grow a Service Design community here in Chicago through monthly meetups offered at low to no-cost.
We have been fortunate to partner with design studios such as gravitytank, Greater Good Studio, Fuzzy Math, Lunar, The Institute of Design, Fjord, and Slalom.
Since 2014, we have offered an annual Service Design conference to help drive our mission of accessible Service Design education. For two days we bring our community together to connect, educate and evolve the way we apply Service Design to our innovation processes. We have been fortunate to learn from leaders in Service Design like Shelley Evenson, Craig LaRosa, Martha Cotton, Dianna Miller, Robert Bau, Izac Ross, and many more.
